Esports
Hello, all end of the year is fast approaching that will also mean that the blogs will take a break. I have yet to decide if I want to continue the blogs when we return from the summer. For now will focus on what is in the near future.
League of Legends
As state in previous blogs we only have JV league of legends competeing in playoffs right now. They will be playing in the finals for GGLeague. They will be defending their title today on our Twitch at 8 pm against a non-academic team. If they come out on top they will receive a trophy and 575 dollars to split among the five players. They will also be competing in the semifinals this Friday at 8 pm against university of Albany. We do not currently know if this will be streamed on our channel or if the ECAC league will stream it on their channel. No matter we still wish them luck in both of their matches and we are looking forward to them adding some gold to our trophy case once again.
Program
A lot is going on around the esport program as of right now. Many of us are working on getting summer camps ready for high school players and university players. We are hosting a little bit of a boot camp situation over the summer. Where our varsity players will be training players getting them prepared for their next season. We also have our annul sleepover for the program. Where players will be invited to come to the rooms and compete in some tournaments against other players. This is just a fun thing that our director does to include everyone and have a little fun during the stressful last few weeks of the semester. Finally next weekend will be hosting ESO (Esport Ohio) regional finals which will be streamed on our twitch.
If you would like to follow the program to keep up to date with the things that we have going on be sure to check out our Twitter and Twitch.
