Social Media Event

Just getting back from break Dr. Aggie has lovingly taken us away from all Friday classes while also canceled class on Thursday. All to attend a very interesting workshop being held here on campus. The social media event is being held over in McIntosh activity room. First, I have not been there yet for anything on campus. I am not a big event attendee. Second, I do not know what to really expect. I assume I will find myself meeting several potential bosses. Which is really great, I will use the opportunity to get my name out there and connect with a lot of people. It does suck though that it happened to be on Friday. Since there is a major esports conference taking place at Akron University. That conference will have several collegiate esport directors attending and other industry leaders there. I was offered to go by my director. He even offered his tickets and room that has already been paid for. Of course I had to turn down the opportunity since the social media workshop is mandatory. I will still make the best out of this workshop and hopefully make many connections. Who knows might even find a future mentor at the workshop. Maybe I should bring my resume?
