Week 4 of ONU Esports

 Week 4 of Esports

Another week of exciting competition took place last week. I would also like to apologize for the late posting the program has been preparing for a lot of things. That has been keeping me busy. With that though I have an amazing announcement. The ONU Esports team has joined El Campo for a fundraising event which will take place February 28th. Come enjoy some amazing food while meeting the your Esports team. Lets get into last weeks recap. 

Valorant

Valorant sadly lost both of their matches last the first being against University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. The following being against University of Oklahoma. Both games were relatively close. ONU Valorant will look to change that narrative this week.

Rocket League

 Rocket League varsity started a bit slow last week. Losing the first match of the week to FIU. Junior varsity started the opposite with a sweeping win against UMN. They would follow up this performance by winning 4-3 against SCSU a few days later. Leaving varsity to end the week on a good note. Which it was a semi good end beating USF 3-0 but losing to Mount Vernon to close the week. 

Overwatch 2 

Overwatch had a super busy week so we will start with junior varsity. Who found their first win of the season against Emory & Henry. However, they would end their week on a sour double header where they could not find a win for either match. Varsity competed in five matches through out the week. Winning three out of the five. The teams they beat were Manchester, Baldwin Wallace and Carleton. Leaving there loss to Fisher and High point. 

League of Legend

League of legends varsity team did not compete this week as their match was rescheduled. Junior varsity did compete and suffered their first loss of the season against University of Albany.
