Week 2 of ONU E-sports

Week 2 of ONU E-sports

 

Valorant

Valorant had quite the week even though there were no matches played there was a roster shakeup. Junior varsity will be heading into their first match this Wednesday for NACE. Both team will also be on the road this upcoming weekend. As the varsity team heads to Jacksonville, IL. to compete at a LAN event. While junior varsity will be traveling down to Columbus, OH. to compete at Belong Arena.

Rocket League 

 Rocket League had a exciting week of matches starting their week with three - zero sweep against Bowling Green State University. In their NACE match up pushing their NACE record to two-zero on the season. The junior varsity team would also see their first bit of action last week fending off Brewton Parker University 4-2 series win. This win would push them to one and zero in ECAC competition. The week would be wrapped up with a double header for the Great Lakes E-sport Conference. The first match was a dominate victory over Marietta. ONU was able to sweep the series moving into a much tougher match up in Trine University. ONU would fall in one to three to Trine leaving them with a two and two record for GLEC. 

Overwatch 2

Overwatch two started their strong week with a ECAC match up. Varsity would take on Kean and junior varsity would take on SHU. Varsity would unfortunately fall to Kean in a heartbreaking lost zero three.  However they did have one team forfeit againts them giving them a small win on the leaderboards. Junior varsity would also fall to Sacred Heart University in zero - three fashion. Putting varsity at one and one and junior varsity at zero and one. Junior varsity will be looking to pick up their first win this week. While varsity had a second chance to redeem themselves in their GLEC match ups. They would start of with a tough loss to MVNU losing two - three. However they were able to over come and look past and sweep Marietta off the board. Pushing their GLEC record to three and one. 

League of Legends  

League of Legends junior varsity team would see their first action this week competing in ECAC against UWGB in a best of 3 taking the dominate victory of two and zero. The varsity team would have to wait to compete till the weekend where they would lose to Grand View University in a zero - two fashion. They would keep their head down and attack the next day against Purdue North getting a two - one win. Pushing their Midwest conference record to two and two.
